Events
Game Nights
At our regular game nights, you will find various board games, card games, and party games, as well as different drinks, free snacks, and good music. This event offers a great opportunity to meet new people and take a break from university life.
Learning Thursday
The Learning Thursdays are particularly designed for first-year students who are not yet very experienced in mathematical proof techniques. During these sessions, a handful of experienced students are available to assist you with your homework, explain topics again, and generally answer your questions. The difference from the tutorial is that during Learning Thursdays, active work takes place, rather than just going through prepared questions.
Festivals
Summer Party
Once a year, we organize our Summer Party. It usually takes place at the end of the lecture period of the summer semester in the Schanzenpark. There will be grilling, games, food, drinks, and music. People can quickly get excited about a round of Flunkyball or Viking Chess.
Christmas Gathering
Our other major event is the annual Christmas Gathering. Usually held in room 241 of the Geomatikum, we provide speculoos cookies, gingerbread, mulled wine, and other treats, as well as various card games and chess, along with the opportunity to craft festive stars. All of this happens in a relaxed atmosphere with Christmas music and a decorated space.
